We understand that families may not be able to travel to cultural experiences, so we would like suggest taking advantage of online cultural resources for engagement. The Museum, Arts, Culture Access Consortium is gathering these resources for many families who are caring for relatives at home.
Creative Explorations at Home
Connect2culture's cultural partners are finding ways to engage families with dementia virtually, by creating self-guided activities and experiences online. In this introductory episode, Meredith Wong, Manager of connect2culture, will talk about the importance of these experiences for families confined to their homes, and how they can use the growing number of online resources to alleviate some of the stress and isolation that they feel, especially in this unique circumstance. On alternate Mondays, a guest from a different cultural organization will talk to caregivers about their projects.
