Topic: Take the Battle Out of Bathing

Resistance to personal care is one of the most common causes of caregiver stress in dementia care, for family care partners and professional caregivers. It is also one of the most common reasons why caregivers request medications from providers.

This workshop will:

  • Discuss the causes of reactions to bathing and other personal care.
  • Identify possible unspoken triggers that cause different behavioral responses.
  • Explore strategies that will make bathing more enjoyable for all.
