Dear Friend of CaringKind,

I am thrilled to be leading our annual Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Campaign. I joined the CaringKind team in January as a long-time supporter, volunteer and advocate for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and it is with tremendous gratitude that I invite you to join me in recognizing the caregivers – the heart of the CaringKind Family – who unselfishly and tirelessly devote their lives to their loved ones throughout their time of need.

I am honoring my father who is the primary caregiver for my mother who was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment in 2019. I have always admired my Dad’s patience, strength, resourcefulness, and bravery. My Dad spent his professional career as an accomplished, much-loved optometrist ensuring that his patients’ needs were taken care of. After retirement, he is now dedicating those abilities to his family.

My Dad is like millions of Americans who become primary caregivers each year for those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia needing assistance. With the support of CaringKind, my Dad and I were blessed with wonderful resources including social workers who helped us navigate my mother’s diagnosis and determine the best next steps of our journey. We were overjoyed when my mother was given the opportunity to participate in CaringKind’s evidenced-based Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), which has provided a strong support group and network for our entire family.

  • CaringKind provides resources on how to navigate the tremendous challenges caregivers experience by providing Social Workers who offer one-on-one family consultations and support. We have held 1,285 counseling sessions in 2022 alone, helping caregivers navigate the challenging next steps in their journey.
  • CaringKind’s expanded Early-Stage Services Center provides a suite of evidence-based programs to people with early memory loss and Mild Cognitive Impairment, making CaringKind the go-to resource for both caregivers and those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
  • CaringKind is your trusted partner for care throughout the entire Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving process. Relying on evidence-based expertise and over 40 years of experience, CaringKind provides the support and resources needed by caregivers.
  • Please join me in supporting our Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Campaign honoring caregivers and to ensure that CaringKind can continue to provide the resources, support, programs and services – and hope – to those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, their family members and caregivers.*

With gratitude,
