Dear Friends and Supporters of CaringKind, My mother, Karen, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2007 at the young age of 59 years old. She chose to confront her illness head on and committed herself to advocacy and action, and she summoned her deep inner drive and bravery to keep being active and joyful as long as she could.
